Hello & Happy New Year!
2012 Newletter download (requires Adobe Reader)
I’m so excited to share with you what the NRP has been doing so far. We are a citizen-based organization of enthusiastic people, who have accomplished some amazing things.
From the beginning, planners believed that we would be a diverse blend of individuals, organizations, & agencies, who care about the Namekagon. And, as such, we adopted Namekagon River Partnership as our name.
Our partners are many, including the National Park Service, Wisconsin DNR, museums, businesses, individuals, and organizations such as Trout Unlimited and Northland College. We are an IRS approved non-profit organization.
The Board and I want to keep everyone current on what is going on – yesterday, today, and tomorrow. This first newsletter is one of two planned each year to inform and motivate everyone to make this a fun, educational, participatory, and proactive organization.
On page 3 you will find a listing and brief description of highlights from our first year. In my opinion, the list is quite remarkable, and I envision nothing but more success in 2013. With your participation, we can do great things for the river, and for all those that love it. Please help! Join! Dues – $25. For more information, meeting notes, and more, visit our website: www.namekagon.org.
A Special Thank You to Scott Peterson, whose vision and determination got the NRP ball rolling.
Thanks to Cindy and the Sawmill Saloon for hosting our get-togethers.
And Thanks so much to you, our members and partners, for your interest and love for the Namekagon!
